Bangladesh
Computer Samity is the voice of ICT industry of Bangladesh.
It is the national association of the ICT companies in Bangladesh.
BCS was established in 1987 with eleven members.
The ICT industries of Bangladesh comprises distributors, dealers,
resellers of computer and allied products, locally assembled
computer vendors, software developers and exporters, internet
service providers, ICT based educational institutions and
training houses, ICT embedded services providers etc.
The total number of members stands 611 at present. The body
is run by a 7-number executive council elected every two years.

ICT
Awareness Program in Rajshahi
A
full day ICT Awareness Program is jointly organized
by ICT Business Promotion Council (IBPC) under the
Ministry of Commerce, Government of the People's Republic
of Bangladesh and Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS)
in Rajshahi at the New Uttara Community Centre (Central
Eidgah Road, Panthan Para) on May 11, 2008. The program
is inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of Rajshahi
University Professor Dr. M Altaf Hossain as the Chief
Guest, while Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi attend
the program as the Special Guest.
